Article 1: Appreciation: An Attribute of the Soul

Appreciation:  An Attribute of the Soul

            Appreciation.  Something nice to think about, right?  A lovely state of being. Something that increases the quality of life. Something a happy person knows about. Something pleasant, something, uh.... Light... right?  Let's consider this a little more deeply.  A couple of years ago I received the following channeling.

            "Appreciation is the least used and least understood of the more powerful spiritual tools available to you... Contemplate this... then meditate upon it."

            Well, I did and I was quite surprised at what I found.  I will begin, here, by providing a modified version of the  initial workshop exercise with you.  You can, of course, continue reading this article without doing the exercise -- but it is my heartfelt recommendation that if you feel drawn to explore this topic that you take the opportunity to do the exercise before  you read what follows it. What you will need:  Several sheets of blank paper, a pencil, a quite corner,  twenty -- thirty minutes, and openness.

            • Go to your meditation place or favorite  undisturbed place. Center yourself through the technique of your choice, or simply follow your breath for 3 - 5  minutes.

            • Write the word  "APPRECIATION"  at the top of a clean sheet.  Simply stare at it for about 30 seconds, then put the paper down.

            • Repeat the word silently, slowly, three times.

            • Open your eyes take up paper and pencil and begin to list all the words that you associate with Appreciation.  Use only the first side of the sheet and write for no more than 3 minutes.  (If you run out before that, that's fine.)

            • Turn the sheet over and again write appreciation at the top of the page, and  put the paper down.

            • Again, close your eyes.  Now try to recall the times when you have actually heard the word "appreciation"  spoken.  Recall the speakers, your age, and the contexts. (Take up to twenty minutes if you need it.)

            • Open your eyes, take up paper and pencil and begin listing the feelings connected with each of incidents that you were able to recall.  Write for as long as you like, use as much paper as you need, and then resume reading this article.

             I feel it is important to mention, here, that there are many ways to approach the channeled information. The most grounded and well-balanced approaches will include both right and left brain techniques.  If you have been the vehicle for the information, it is best to start with a left brain process.  Consulting  a dictionary and using an encyclopedia  to  research relevant words or topics can be useful.  If  the information has been channeled by someone else for you, a right brain effort such as the exercise given is often a more fruitful starting point. 

            Did you do the exercise?  If you haven't and you are reading on, you may find it informative and thought provoking, but you may miss out on the chance to discover how relevant what follows may be for you.  At the risk of  being annoying you, I urge you, again,  to give it a try. 

            A structured free association exercise can reveal some new information about your personal relationship to a subject.  You find that a significant amount stored

negativity is held around this very positive theme.  Astounding numbers of children have been chided (with finger wagging intensity) for not being appreciative enough.  Many caregivers have shamed children for not appreciating their parents, their good health, the food on the table, etc.  This kind of programming actually sets up a frame of reference around the whole idea of appreciation that is heavily laden with guilt and stamped all over with the deadly label of "something I should do."  Children exposed to these injunctions may adopt some creative coping mechanisms.  One of  the most common (and comparatively  healthy) self-protecting methods is to simply TRIVIALIZE the whole idea of appreciation.

            Just as a child outgrows the clothes that once protected him or her,  the evolving person is cramped and limited by nearly all of his/her coping devices.  Each

of these mechanisms must be brought into the light and examined. Some will require only identification, some need alteration,  but as the analogy relates to trivializing appreciation -- I have no doubt that one who finds this spoiler in their closet will elect to joyfully discard it.

            If you are among those fortunate few who flew happily through this exercise, you found that the contemplation of appreciation filled you with inspiration and joy

(this is the natural result of dwelling in this energy.)  If doing the exercise did not effect your state very much the most likely reasons are that you are blocked in this area because some trauma surrounds it, or that you simply hadn't "slowed down" enough.

                       Star Children

Are You An Alien Soul?   by Julé

            The stars!  Look about you in the night.  Rare indeed is the person who is not moved when stopped on a country road on a clear night. Who has not been hushed by the splendor of the sparkling diamonds that stud the indigo cloak of God?  Perhaps the astrologer sees shining dewdrops on the web of destiny -- but still the noctilucent vastness dazzles and intrigues. What do we really mean when we speak of "Star-Children"?  Are we saying that the nighttime glory which is a source of beauty and inspiration for us all, is something more for some of us, than for others?

            To begin, we will say that Star-Children are specific incarnations among the category of Alien Souls. Briefly, we will define Alien Souls, as the portion of Earth's population, that are here in Service.  

            Let's say, that the purpose of life can be assumed to be the Growth, Evolution and Expansion of the Soul.  (This postulation is the basis of my book What's All This About, Anyway?  A Metaphysical Companion, Circle in the Light, 1989).    

            Adopting this premise, we can use a school analogy and say that we are "attending the Universe", perhaps, working on an "MA of Self".  For our purposes, we will designate the Earth School as a Junior High, maybe at 6.0 on a scale of 10. Continuing, we can say that our course of study is karmic lessons in the development range of, 4.5 to 6.0, and that this level of Growth dictates that the Soul produce an "Expression", i.e., a body/personality, to acquire the knowledge. Whew!  Are you with me?  Good!    

            Now, if a given Soul has already experienced these lessons (on this planet or elsewhere) and consequently exists on a level of perhaps, 6.5 or more, that Soul may elect to produce an Expression on Earth, that is then a "service incarnation". That is to say, that this Soul then possesses a level of development that is different from most of the population on the Earth, ipso facto an Alien Soul. If this sounds a bit academic, you may find that one of these channellings makes the issue more relatable:

Zygone "...The situation of souls serving as Primers or Facilitators of growth on lesser planes can be likened to the function of a prism which refracts the light and allows a fuller spectrum of color to be seen.  The white light is comparable to the nature of Soul. But when a Soul stands forth to serve in this way the inherent beauty, the detailing of the nature of Reality, the aspects of Love it can display, gives to those with whom these Souls interact a greater potential for expansion and insight as well direct perception of the next step they shall take in their growth -- and in doing so, (the Alien Soul) obtains further development for itself."                 

Sananda -- "A tree grows alone on a hill ... it appears stark and grim at the dawn, as in winter.  Yet, the beauty of its foliage, the shade and comfort its fullness can extend in time, are a blessing noted and notable that differs much from the tree in the forest, that grows amongst it fellows."

            Because these Alien Souls are more developed, i.e., more refined, the Expressions do feel that they are different. This combination of feeling different and extreme sensitivity are the common denominators of Alien Souls.  Much of the information in this article on Star Children applies, generally, to Alien Souls.  Some other categories of Alien Souls include, Walk-Ins, Projections, and Resident Aliens who are the most plentiful, (those who have had upwards of 30 lives in service on the Earth). Now on to our topic!

Astralla - "A working definition seems to be in order. Star Children:  Those souls presently in physical incarnations upon the earth, who have served for extended periods of time aboard ships in Space". A major difference between Star-Children and Resident Aliens is that they will be likely to experience their distinctions and sensitivities, (and resulting alienation), to a greater degree. As small children they may become fixated upon the skies and convinced that their "true parents" are really aboard a ship and that that ship will come for them. Many conclude that they were adopted. For these children life can be unbearably lonely and in their sleep states they are comforted by those Souls to whom they are "related". The unusual characteristics of the bodies of many Star-Children definitely deserves mention.  In my own healing practice I have worked with Star-Children that have had the following abnormalities within their structures:  A double uterus, single ovaries, shrunken miniature kidneys, and hermaphroditic sex organs. Other physical aberrations common to many Alien Souls include low body temperature, abundant allergies, low blood pressure, and low or high thyroid output. These are only some of the physical differences these people may manifest.  More significantly, virtually all have at least two accelerated sensory capabilities. Super sight (beyond 20/20), accelerated hearing, extraordinary olfactory skills ( much sought by perfumeries), and acute tactile sensitivities.

            The Expressions that these Souls have created in some  former lives may have been in bodies that had less density than those they must manifest for life on the Earth. Their Souls are compatible with a form that requires neither sleep, food or excretion -- as we know these processes on earth. All forms within creation do take in energy and therefore can be said to "eat".  Indeed, those inspired souls who attempt breatharianism are most often Star-Children.  Eating disorders of all kinds are common among them.  That is not to say that all bulimic or anorexics are Star-Children -- but there is often much confusion and imbalanced behavior concerning food.  As young children they may find the sight of adults eating upsetting.  How these reactions are handled and their parents own attitudes will determine how well the child copes and adjusts.  True 'star-bodies' could be expanded or slimmed with a thought.  Body hair, sweating, bowel movements, gas and other bodily properties had no counterparts in the star-body.  The fragile consciousness may find these alternately frightening, confusing, amusing or disgusting.

            As adults,  Star-Children tend to look younger than their age,  sometimes by ten years or more.  Although other guides and masters will work with him, most of his/her guidance comes from Souls serving in space, as he has, for eons past.  Yet, the Star-Child will, most probably, have been on the Earth for some previous incarnations.

            It is sad to say that the adversity in adjusting to being on the Earth, so dense and so dominated by lower emotions often results in self destructive behaviors in Star Children. Identification and awareness of oneself as a Child of the Stars can be an valuable step in a healing process, as well as pondering the parable of the Ugly Duckling.                                                                                          

            The following was presented at the final class I taught in an Are You An Alien Soul? series.

Astralla -  "When we use the term Star-Children we are not speaking here of those whose souls have originated on other planets, or in other galaxies or universes...necessarily.  We are referring to a classification that applies when a Soul has been, for very long periods of time, in this particular 'branch of service' (the Space Commands). What occurs is that a portion of the Souls' energy becomes mixed with the vibrations of space, or magnetic frequencies.  But can a Soul, by it's very nature, have a limited, exclusive, "home"?  This is not said to discount the many alliances, relationships, and experiences which can and do happen at the Soul Level and produce feelings of association, or home with places or groups of Souls -- but rather to place in perspective any sense of over identification that this awareness may induce.  Much glamour surrounds the idea of service in space and space itself. Is not your own Earth existing in space, also?  Is some far off star somehow MORE in space? 

            The variety and richness of manifestations which exists within creation staggers the human mind.  A Being MUST relate to that which he needs to fulfill the growth and service of his present incarnation.  He MAY relate to whatever his mind through probing and imagination can grasp.  Humanity's quest for space at this point still has more value as a symbol of his aspirations than as a true endeavor.  Truly, he has not yet reached a level of existence, a degree of harmony worthy of "export" to other worlds and he would be no more open to learn from worlds he would visit than to visitors who could presently come to him!

            There are those of you who could meet and greet those in another form, truly embrace and exchange energies.  But you are rare.  Many of you are, indeed, Star-Children and have maintained this sense of identity sufficiently to mitigate the fears you have learned from your race.  Others of you are systematically unlearning those fears in preparation for the time We shall communicate with those on earth through the channels on your television as well as through individuals.

            ...We are Souls as you, yourselves, are.  There are myriads of Commands and star groupings within your universe and beyond.  Those who can offer assistance in your development, do. Certain groups are assigned to you at certain times, due to specific missions your Soul may have contracted to perform that require explicit guidance and aid.   As a conscious personality expands his awareness to include the reality beyond the egoic perception that 'Man alone is sole bearer of conscious life in the Universe' he becomes able to receive guidance, from such Beings.  Many of you have been so fortunate as to have never truly lost this awareness.  We are blessed to have this opportunity to share our vibrations with you.  As you stretch your Energies out into your evening skies you may call upon us and We shall be with you."
